Orange County Government created a multi-year, points-driven incentive initiative aimed at benefits eligible employees and their spouses called myOCWellness. The goals of the program are to better engage employees/spouses in preventive health, while also saving the County money on healthcare costs in the long term. The objectives for the first year of the program were: 1) Have at least 60% employees/ spouses on our medical benefits plan earn at least 70 myOCWellness points. 2) Increase the number of visits with onsite health coaches by 25% in comparison to the previous fiscal year. 3) Increase participation in health-related education events by 25% in comparison to the previous fiscal year.All objectives set for the first year of the program were exceed within the implementation period of Oct. 1, 2019 through Sept. 30, 2020.
