The County of San Diego’s Employee Wellness program is an innovative program that supports the County’s vision of Live Well San Diego, a region that is Building Better Health, Living Safely and Thriving. Our Employee Wellness program fully embraces this vision and is committed to providing programs that educate, engage and empower the more than 17,000 diverse County employees to take charge of their health. One or our innovative programs to support the Live Well San Diego vision is the County of San Diego Healthy Cooking Demonstration Classes. The healthy cooking demo is part of the Lunch & Learn program whereby employees can attend informational sessions during their lunch period. The healthy cooking demonstration classes teach employees hands-on, simple, cost-effective ways to prepare healthy meals, understand how to read food labels, make good decisions about healthy alternatives (ingredients) without the fear of losing the food originality.
