The Albemarle County BeWell Grant Program is intended to fund projects and initiatives that support the wellness of government and school employees. Proposals are employee-driven and can involve any aspect of wellness including physical activity, weight management, healthy eating, active transportation, health education, disease management, and mental / emotional health. Proposals are expected to align with the County Strategic Plan and the Public Schools Strategic Plan as well as department and school goals. The projects are designed primarily to promote employee wellness but are also encouraged to include aspects that increase citizen or student well-being.
