The County of San Diego’s Employee Wellness program is an innovative program that supports the County’s vision of Live Well San Diego, a region that is Building Better Health, Living Safely and Thriving. Our Employee Wellness program fully embraces this vision and is committed to providing programs that educate, engage and empower the more than 17,000 diverse County employees to take charge of their health. The goal of Essentrics Fitness Classes draws on the flowing movements of Tai Chi, which initiates health and balance; the strengthening methods of yoga, which creates a long, lean, flexible muscle and anatomic structure; and the healing principles of physiotherapy, which creates a pain free body.
