Lilypad EV selected for government fleet, community and public workplace electrification contract

WASHINGTON – The National Association of Counties (NACo), through its Public Promise Procurement (PPP) cooperative purchasing program, has awarded Lilypad EV a competitively solicited national contract for electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment and comprehensive solutions. This award, led by Broome County, N.Y., gives public agencies across the country streamlined access to EV infrastructure, ensuring communities can accelerate their transition to sustainable transportation.

“This national contract with Lilypad EV is a single award contract,” said NACo PPP Managing Director Paul Terragno. “It provides public agencies with a trusted, competitively bid pathway to build and maintain EV charging infrastructure that meets the needs of both government fleets and the communities they serve.”

Under the contract, Lilypad EV will provide public agencies with an array of comprehensive and turnkey solutions: Level 2 charging stations, Level 3 DC fast charging stations, accessories (pedestals, cable management kits, mounting hardware, universal connectors), software and cloud services, along with installation, commissioning, consulting, project management, maintenance and operations, and training solutions.

“As the lead public agency, Broome County is proud to support a contract that will help governments nationwide deploy EV charging infrastructure more efficiently and cost-effectively,” said Carolyn Secor purchasing agent for Broome County, N.Y. “This partnership helps ensure that local governments have access to reliable solutions without the burden of conducting their own solicitations.”

These solutions will enable counties, municipalities, schools and other agencies to implement EV charging for government fleets, workplace campuses and community charging stations. The cooperative contract simplifies the procurement process, ensuring agencies can acquire best-in-class solutions at competitively bid pricing by satisfying lengthy RFP processes.

“Lilypad EV is honored to serve as the awarded supplier under this cooperative contract,” said Lilypad EV Director of Alternative Fuels Frank Huerta. “Our mission is to deliver scalable, sustainable EV charging solutions that empower communities, support public fleets, and advance the transition to clean transportation across the country.”

The award of this cooperative contract underscores a national shift toward electrification and sustainability in public operations. With federal and state funding accelerating EV adoption, counties and municipalities face growing pressure to modernize their fleets and provide public charging infrastructure. Lilypad EV’s comprehensive offerings give agencies a proven partner for both immediate deployment and long-term operational success. Lilypad EV also provides grant assistance and financing tools, ensuring equitable access for agencies of all sizes.

With the contract in effect through August 2030, and renewable through 2035, agencies now have a reliable partner to help them navigate planning, funding, installation and ongoing support of EV charging projects.
