Jessica Hartl

As Senior Manager, Communications, Jessica oversees strategic communications at NACo, including media relations. Jessica has more than 15 years of experience in strategic communications, having served in various roles at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), including most recently as Senior Communications Advisor in USAID’s Latin America & the Caribbean Bureau. In this role she led multi-channel communications, executive speech writing and testimony, editorial and media relations.

Prior to her government career, Jessica worked in the nonprofit sector for the United Nations Association of the USA and Eisenhower Fellowships in program management roles.

Jessica earned a Master’s degree from Arcadia University and a Bachelor’s degree from Pomona College. Born in the Washington, D.C. area, she currently resides in the city.
