Highlights from 2024 Operation Green Light for Veterans

OGL example

America’s counties have a long and proud history of serving our nation’s veterans, and once again in the week leading up to Veterans Day, counties, parishes and boroughs are showing support for veterans by participating in Operation Green Light for Veterans, lighting county buildings and landmarks in green.

The initiative, which in 2023 drew participation from over 300 counties, is designed to raise awareness about the unique challenges veterans face and the resources available to assist them and their families at the county, state and federal levels.

Scroll below or use the map at the top of the page to explore examples of counties, parishes, boroughs and state associations illuminating their buildings green this week. To have your county's efforts highlighted in our Operation Green Light coverage, click here.
