Our strategy was to turn a dreary “State of the County” annual event for stakeholders & the community into a dynamic & inspiring evening. The new event would highlight our work, boost engagement and employee ROI: The 2017 Washoe Impact Awards was born. Not only did we engage employees along with northern Nevada’s regional leaders, but showcased the impact of our Strategic Plan, and illustrated how our employees are impacting citizens, with award categories based on our three values: Integrity, Effective Communication and Quality Public Service. This boosted overall employee morale, brought awareness to our critical programs and services and infused excitement into staff for future Washoe Impact Awards events.
