Summit County’s Tax Notice Email program provides a fully automated billing and payment experience for property owners that register to participate. This first-of-its-kind program in Utah resulted in a change in the Utah state law that allows taxpayers to choose how to receive their tax notices: online, printed, or both. Taxpayers can register through an online form to receive their tax notices (bills) via email, and have the option to stop receiving the printed bill. When the taxpayer receives the email, it includes a link that allows the recipient to pay the tax online. This new billing method has streamlined the annual communication and payment process for many Summit County taxpayers.
