The San Bernardino County Illegal Fireworks Reporter program is a community-based program that allows county residents to report the location of illegal fireworks activity and sales to San Bernardino County Fire officials. The goal of the program is to crowd source information and engage the public in combating illegal fireworks activity by providing residents a quick and easy method of reporting. The Illegal Fireworks Reporter program consists of several applications built and configured using Esriâs Inc. ArcGIS Online platform, Survey123, Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS, and Dashboards for ArcGIS.In 2020, the Illegal Fireworks Reporter program effectively help reduce the number of illegal fireworks in the county resulting in an arrest and issuance of multiple Administrative Citations. By providing county residents a new means to report illegal fireworks activity, the call burden was reduced to 911 and other emergency systems making the county a safer place to live for all residents.
