Year: 2009
Each year the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announces its competitive homeless assistance programs including SHP. The Department of Housing and Community Development supports the activities of the Regional Continuum of Care Council (RCCC) by providing regional leadership in the coordination of the federal SHP application. The RCCC is a large cooperative community group consisting of representatives of the 18 cities within the county, nonprofit service providers and other interested parties. The RCCC meets on a monthly basis to identify gaps in homeless services, establish funding priorities, and to pursue an overall systemic approach to addressing homelessness. The Regional Continuum of Care Council (RCCC) is a community-based forum focused on homelessness in the San Diego region. Agendas and minutes are prepared by members of the RCCC and are not intended to represent the opinion of the County of San Diego.
