The Paralegal Internship Program is a court-community outreach program dedicated to building partnerships with local colleges. The program provides students at these colleges with opportunities to receive supervised, hands-on experience in performing specialized court operations. Participants in the program attend paralegal classes at partner colleges and receive on-the-job training from Court staff. This provides them with a unique opportunity to convert knowledge they gain into skills. Their experience enables them to perform work in their area of interest before they graduate. The skills and experience students gain through the program can be utilized later in nonprofit litigant support programs, private law practice, or in careers with the Court. The Paralegal Internship Program currently operates from the San Fernando, Van Nuys, and Santa Clarita Courthouses within Los Angeles County.
