Charlotte County adopted a leadership growth strategy to encourage, identify, and develop employees who have the potential to hold future leadership and key individual contributor positions. The Human Resources Department developed an intensive, nine-month program Leadership Development pilot program consisting of key learning components. Fifteen employees participated in the pilot program, which consisted of scheduled trainings, a book study, an individualized development plan, a mentor partnership, and a group project.
