Providing opportunities for fire department employees to learn about career opportunities is the purpose of this program. Participants in the 22-hour program volunteer to spend time in each section of the 847-person department, including the Fire Chief’s office. Since it began in 2011, the program has graduated 91 employees and another 65 are currently participating.
