ePermits Apply on Line -- The Department of Permitting Services launched its Apply Online Program (ePermits) February 1, 2013 with electrical permits being the first permit type followed by deck permits on September 9, 2013 and residential permits on March 1, 2014. Using ePermits and on-line payment, customers can apply online from their home, office, or any other location with internet service for electrical, residential or deck permits. This process is fast, efficient, convenient and good for the environment. The purpose of the program is to improve service delivery for our customers, make permitting more accessible and convenient, improve use of diminished staff resources to meet increasing work volume and responsibilities and conserve precious environmental resources by reducing paper consumption, vehicle emissions, and fuel consumption.
