With Fairfield County’s environmental stewardship program, we have reduced waste, increased efficiency, and worked hard to continuously improve. Fairfield County has completed environmentally beneficial activities with its energy conservation program, a part of environmental stewardship. We have conserved energy use, utilized energy efficient products, and modified operations to improve energy efficiency. In addition, we have made progress in recycling, employee involvement, impacts to the environment, management commitment, economic benefits, stormwater best management practices, and outreach. By leading and completing activities that are environmentally beneficial and demonstrating progress in multiple areas of environmental stewardship, Fairfield County has made a difference for a more sustainable future.
