Digital video is helping law enforcement to respond to potentially dangerous situations, intervene and mitigate risks – increasing the safety and security of community members and officers. With today’s technology, it is now possible to equip police vehicles with in-car cameras that will capture a 360 degree view of the crime scene. The police department in Fairfax County, Virginia is implementing an in-car video solution for 625 patrol cars with automatic download and archiving of incident videos, improving access to evidence for the apprehension and conviction of offenders.
