NACo Public Promise Procurement Awards National Contract to Iron Mountain

WASHINGTON – The National Association of Counties’ (NACo) Public Promise Procurement announced today that Iron Mountain has been awarded a competitively solicited cooperative contract, providing public agencies nationwide with secure, cost-effective, modern solutions for document retention and destruction, media preservation, digitization and data management.

“This contract represents the very best of cooperative purchasing, delivering trusted, competitively solicited solutions that help counties and public agencies modernize operations, safeguard data and reduce costs,” said NACo Public Promise Procurement Managing Director Paul Terragno. “We are proud to partner with Iron Mountain to expand access to critical information management services for our members nationwide.”

The contract, led by Maricopa County, Ariz., ensures that counties, municipalities and other public entities have streamlined access to best-in-class information lifecycle management services. Effective through August 2030, with optional renewal to 2035, the agreement delivers a full suite of services including records management, secure shredding, offsite vaulting, pathology and climate-controlled storage, information governance, digital transformation, IT asset lifecycle management and cloud-neutral colocation.

“As the lead public agency, Maricopa County is pleased to make these services available to governments across the country,” said Maricopa County, Ariz. Procurement Officer Kendall Small. “The robust scope of this contract ensures that agencies of all sizes can benefit from secure document retention, efficient digitization and compliant data management – without the administrative burden of conducting separate procurements.”

With more than 70 years of experience serving government and public sector organizations, Iron Mountain has helped 46 state governments, numerous federal agencies and hundreds of municipalities modernize information management while enhancing compliance, organizational efficiency and citizen service delivery.

“We are honored to be awarded this contract and to support counties, municipalities and public agencies in achieving their modernization goals,” said Iron Mountain Government Solutions VP & General Manager Melissa Carson. “Iron Mountain’s solutions are built to help governments securely transition from paper to digital, manage critical records across their lifecycle and better deliver services to the communities they serve.”
