Christopher Blanchette Appointed Program Director for NACo Public Promise Insurance

WASHINGTON — The National Association of Counties (NACo) and NACo EDGE proudly announce the appointment of Christopher Blanchette as National Program Director for NACo Public Promise Insurance. Blanchette brings more than 12 years of experience in the employee benefits and insurance industries, with a career distinguished by roles at leading organizations including Aetna and Marsh Insurance.

Born and raised in Waterbury, Connecticut, Blanchette is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and has spent his career helping employers design and optimize benefits programs that attract and retain high-quality talent. His background spans underwriting, account management, new business development and statewide sales leadership. From launching small-group ancillary markets to managing commercial medical sales across Texas, Blanchette has earned a reputation for trusted partnership, collaborative problem-solving and an unwavering focus on client value.

At NACo Public Promise Insurance, Blanchette will play a leading role in expanding access to high-quality, cost-efficient benefits for county governments and public agencies nationwide. Through PPI’s collective-buying model, leveraging the combined strength of all 3,069 counties, Blanchette will help deliver competitive, value-added employee benefits that support workforce recruitment and retention in the public sector.
