● Mike Belarmino, associate legislative director for finance, pensions and intergovernmental affairs, represented NACo on the State and Local Advisory Committee to the Streamlined Sales Tax Governing Board (SSTGB) during the SSTGB’s Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Ga. from Oct. 12–14.

● Nastassia Walsh, program manager, was in Cook County for the National League of Cities Justice Leadership Academy, Oct 19–20, where she spoke about NACo’s Stepping Up initiative.

Coming Up

● Linda Langston, strategic relations director, will represent NACo at the Association of County Commissioners of Oklahoma’s Fall Conference, Nov. 9–10, in Norman (Cleveland County).

● The Virginia Association of Counties 82nd Annual Conference, Nov. 13–15, in Bath County, will be the next stop for Alex Koroknay-Palicz, NACo membership coordinator.

Start preparing for NACo Annual Business Meeting

To be eligible to vote at the 2024 Annual Business Meeting, NACo members must register for the Annual Conference, pay 2024 NACo membership dues in full and designate one voting delegate by 5 p.m. EDT July 8.
