During 2022, the Weber County Elections Office came up with unique ways to engage the public through digital media to highlight county election processes and increase voter confidence in elections. To combat misinformation Weber County residents were seeing online through social media, the Weber County Elections team came up with a three-point strategy to increase public awareness of county processes and vote-by-mail safeguards: 1. They created a unique brand to engage users daily on their digital platforms and to stay relevant during the non-election seasons. 2. They created informative videos dispelling popular vote-by-mail myths, highlighting ballot processes, and describing chain of custody safeguards. 3. They made use of Facebook’s voting alert system to grow subscribers and to increase awareness about time sensitive voting issues.
