The Howard County, Maryland Bureau of Utilities’ Meter Services team was tasked with replacing the existing Mobile Meter Data Collection system for all residential water customers. A team from the Howard County Department of Public Works was put together consisting of Project Managers, Supervisors, Meter Technicians, Finance and Information Technology personnel to plan the next best steps to continue to provide accurate billing to 72,000 residential water accounts.
