“Don’t Leave Me Behind!” is the message motorists see on a mobile billboard truck travelling throughout Maricopa County during the two hottest months of the summer, warning of the dangers of leaving young children and animals in unattended vehicles. This community awareness campaign was created by the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office (MCAO) and is aimed at raising recognition of the issue and reducing the number of deaths and injuries resulting from vehicular heatstroke.
