Year: 2016
In 2013, Crow Wing County updated its local comprehensive water management plan. To bring the plan to life for county residents, the County partnered with local graphic design firm Red House Media to tell the water plan story using eye-catching and easy to understand info-graphics. A bi-fold folder was created with posters that explain the three key priorities of the water plan: Surface Water Management, Ground Water Management and Aquatic Invasive Species Management. The Water Plan Marketing program is a proven community and landowner outreach campaign that has developed new water planning tools and uses print and social media strategies to effect a positive change in our watersheds. The County believes that landowners want to do the right thing and has the data to show that âdoing the right thingâ can be presented in customer-focused, fact-driven, easy-to-understand format where people are engaged and conservation is getting done!
