The Jefferson County Enterprise application training program was a critical component to the Countyâs successful upgrade of one of the primary enterprise systems. Jefferson County uses J.D. Edwards EnterpriseOne as their foundational business system. The project to upgrade the Enterprise system involved changes for the user community; including businesses process changes, a new user interface, and new functionality. The training program designed and implemented for this project provided web-based training as well as classroom instruction. The goal of the program was to prepare over 200 employees to perform their various job responsibilities in the new version of J.D. Edwards before the upgrade was implemented. The County chose to use Oracleâs user Productivity Kit as the tool to design and deliver the training consent. The UPK tool enabled the JDE project team to create training documentation such as job aids, training manuals, and online training. In addition to employees that use the enterprise system on a regular basis, all of the Countyâs employees also needed to know how to use the new employee self-service module. The goal was to create training and support materials for the upgrade and future J.D. Edwards educational needs in the County.
