OC Parks encompasses regional, wilderness historical and coastal facilities throughout the Countyof Orange in California. Each park has its own unique features and amenities as well as freecommunity events and programs year-round. Due to COVID-19, community events and programsacross County-operated parks were suspended. The OC Parks events and communications teamquickly pivoted in-person programming strategies by refocusing efforts into the digital space. Arobust social media calendar was created to maintain public outreach and increase audiencevisibility/engagement. Meaningful digital campaigns and virtual programs were developed in lieu ofin-person events for the community, and included daily social media content, a virtual concertseries, and Halloween and holiday-themed campaigns that resulted in growth on all social mediaplatforms.
