The Oakland County Health Division (OCHD), in collaboration with the Oakland County Department of Information Technology (OCIT), has implemented a web-based Services Registration portal to help Oakland County residents register for a variety of health-related services that are available to the residents of Oakland County. These services include the annual seasonal flu clinics, Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and dispensing of medication during an emergency. The Services Registration application was developed to ensure rapid processing of citizens for health services at various dispensing site locations. Registered citizens not only incur a shorter wait time upon arrival, but are also guaranteed availability of the health service that they pre-registered for using the Services Registration application. The application also provides the system administrators at the Health Division the ability to plan, schedule and manage large events like dispensing of services to large crowds, with no programming changes required by OCIT.
