The San Bernardino County Community Corrections Partnership (CCP) was among the first in the state to successfully develop and recommend to our County Board of Supervisors an implementation plan for the 2011 Public Safety Realignment Act, also known as Assembly Bill (AB) 109. The CCP represents stakeholders from Probation, Police, Sheriff, Behavioral Health, District Attorney, Public Defender, Transitional Assistance, Workforce Development, and Human Services. In September 2011, the CCP completed an implementation plan and obtained approval of their Realignment Plan from the County of San Bernardino Board of Supervisors. As part of the CCP plan, the Probation Department established Day Reporting and Reentry Services Centers (DRRSCs) for adults in three geographical areas: Central Valley, West Valley, and High Desert. The DRRSC sites provide a one-stop resource that co-locates key county service providers and provides linkage to community and faith based organizations to afford a broad range of educational, social development, and rehabilitative services. The primary partners located at each DRRSC site include the Department of Behavioral Health, Probation Department, Department of Public Health, Transitional Assistance Department and Workforce Development Department, allowing clients immediate access to these providers to address their most immediate needs and to develop plans to facilitate services.
