Richland Radio is a groundbreaking news-talk radio program, heard each Friday from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm in Richland County, South Carolina on WGCV, 620am. The program is modern and innovative in that it airs during “premium drive-time.” Richland Radio is hosted and produced entirely by Richland County staff and allows the County’s officials to connect one-on-one with citizens through the use of “live phone calls.” Additionally, the program Is offered at no additional cost to taxpayers as the station owner does not charge the County for air-time. In this highly competitive and charged era of communications, Richland Radio allows the County to speak directly to citizens and introduce them to the roles and responsibilities of County government in a unique format.
