Read & Feed is a Summer Reading Program hosted by Guadalupe Library (one of 19 locations in the Maricopa County Library District/MCLD), in partnership with St. Maryâs Food Bank. The Read & Feed program aims to bridge the literacy gap and address food insecurity in the community. By asking customers to read 20 minutes a day during the summer, the library is helping to prevent the loss of school year learning and offering free lunch, helping to eliminate hunger. Guadalupe Library offers this program five days a week (Monday through Friday) from 11:30AM-1:30PM. The program is run by staff as well as both teen and adult volunteers who encourage youth to read their 20 daily minutes while enjoying a nutritious lunch provided by St. Maryâs Food Bank.
