The RX Prescription Discount Program is available to all County residents at no cost to them, the County, or the taxpayers. There are no enrollment forms, membership fees, health screenings, or use restrictions for card holders, and one card can be shared by an entire family. Card holders simply present their discount card to the pharmacy representative at the time of purchase and the negotiated discount price for the medicine is automatically applied. Subscribers can realize even greater savings on generic medications and those purchased through mail order. El Paso County has over 80 participating pharmacies—including major chain retailers such as Walgreens, Wal-Mart, King Scoopers, and Safeway. The RX Discount Program is a sustaining effort, with no expiration date or reduced benefits for card holders.
