The Pike County courthouse has outgrown is current home, which also houses the Pike county Detention Center. The new building will be built in downtown Pikeville. Construction is underway in the building, and officials broke ground on October of 2010. The benefits of the new judicial center will be substantial. Because of the development of the project, Pike County is making great strides in staying a “green” county and providing a better pace for our court system and government offices.
