Recently, more county officials across the county are using technology to implement effective and innovative methods that increase efficiency and achieve cost savings. As part of Los Angeles Countyâs efficiency initiatives, the Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) began to automate its request for services forms. The PA 1060, Request for Services form was the first form to be automated; it is used to request services for alterations or improvements of any DPSS building (owned or leased) that addresses: ⢠A health & safety risk; ⢠An operational need; and/or ⢠An enhancement to DPSSâ internal/external customersâ aesthetic experience. With the implementation of the PA 1060 Service Request System, the designated building managers at each DPSS facility can submit and track their requests online. The system automatically routes the request for appropriate levels of approval depending on the services requested and or the cost. Management can quickly review and take appropriate action through email notifications or by processing the request directly from their dashboard. At a momentâs notice, the requestor can see the progress of the request and management staff is able to run custom reports.
