St. Paul-Ramsey County Department of Public Health opened a Department Operation center (DOC) in September 2009 to meet the increasing demands of responding to H1N1 in the community. Through this Department Operation Center, a mission for Operation H1N1 was developed; strategies and tactics were planned and implemented; and staff assignments were made. The overall mission of the Operation was: to work in partnership with the Minnesota Department of Health to coordinate planning for mass vaccination in the community, to provide vaccinations in mass dispensing sites, to provide information to the public on H1N1, and to redistribute local, state, and national Stockpile assets deployed to Ramsey County.
