The Maricopa County Library District requires customers to renew their card each year to ensure that customer information is accurate. Previously, this process required customers to visit one of our physical libraries, talk to a staff member to confirm their residency, and pay any outstanding fines before we could renew their card. In studying our card renewals, we found that the majority of customers have maintained their residency in Maricopa County and do not carry fines on their library account. Online Card Renewal allows submission of renewal requests through our Web site where staff process the request, eliminating the need for many of our customers to schedule a visit to one of our libraries just to renew their library card.
