Abstract of the Program On August 30, 2017, Maricopa County launched a new and innovative Intranet site for its 14,500 employees. The highly interactive and intuitive site was branded as “MyMC” (My Maricopa County). This new design makes it easier for staff to find what they are looking for, including information about benefits, bus routes and schedules, employee discounts, policies and procedures along with an employee directory. The MyMC is the County-wide landing site for employee resources and news. To insure that content was kept up to date and to provide departmental control of content, MyMC was built with the use of the Civic Plus content management system (CMS). The CMS is an application that supports the creation and modification of digital content using a common user interface to support multiple users working in a collaborative environment. Highlights of the MyMC intranet include: • A vibrant and engaging web presence for Maricopa County including new uniform branding • A consistent look and feel for improved employee engagement • Ease of navigation for desktops and mobile devices • Content simplified and streamlined • ADA compliant • Capability of local administration by OET and/or department designee • Improved search capabilities through the site By utilizing the latest web technology available including responsive design, Maricopa County has an Intranet website that is visually appealing and makes it easy for employees to find county-wide information and easily communicate and engage regardless of the device utilized.
