The Family Violence Prevention Campaign was created in response to the COVID-19 health crisis. The public health crisis surrounding COVID-19 has magnified the dangers that victims of family violence face every day. Montgomery County agencies created a taskforce to create an initiative to raise the publicâs awareness that domestic violence, elder abuse and child abuse prevention and intervention services are still available and open to the public. During the campaign, the taskforce created awareness cards, stickers, posters, ads on Facebook and Twitter and banner ads to run on County Ride On buses with generous funding from the Montgomery County Police Department.
