Miami-Dade Public Library System’s Skygazing?Program?is a?low-maintenance,?but popular?program held?at North Dade Regional?Library?from?the?spring?of?2016?through?the end of 2019.?It is?a?STEM program?that?provided?opportunities?for?underprivileged?and?at-risk?youth?in an urban community.?The program afforded participants?access to equipment to view the night sky.?Using an inexpensive telescope and basic knowledge obtained from the?internet and library materials, hundreds of patrons were able to see and learn about the Moon, Sun, planets, stars,?and spacecraft during?autumn?and winter evenings.??
