The Los Angeles County Waterworks District (District) pilot study demonstrates the successful use of sustainable, cost-effective technology to meet new drinking water quality standards. Using aeration technology, the District reduced Total Trihalomethanes concentration by 80 percent in one tank located at the end of their water distribution system, saving over 17 million dollars annually in alternative treatment costs.
