Los Angeles County Youth Jobs program is a countywide program that provides youth with part-time subsidized work experience. It is cross-sector partnership dedicated to improving the economic wellbeing of the region’s youth by attracting, aligning and investing resources in youth workforce development. The program is operated by the Los Angeles County Department of Community and Senior Services (CSS). It is funded by local, State and federal government programs, including CalWORKs, Net County Costs, and Workforce Investment Act funding. Through this funding the County provides year-round and summer work experience to thousands of young people annually on a regional basis. Youth receive work readiness preparation and opportunities designed to enhance their exposure to jobs and skills in career pathways in growing industries.
