The Disaster Help Center (DHC) is a collaborative effort between the Los Angeles?County Department of Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services?(WDACS), the Los Angeles Board of Supervisors, and the Los Angeles County Department of Consumer and Business Affairs (DCBA). The DHC was established on March 26th, 2020, in an immediate response to the devastating economic impacts to our local workforce and local businesses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and has now evolved into a community resource where constituents, business owners, and non-profits call to inquire about available resources that may help them address urgent needs related to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. DHC agents empathetically guide both constituents and business owners on available resources, such as, grants, loans, government assistance, and public health guidance, along with connecting them to appropriate agency or resource.
