Life Management Solutions was established in 2008 in order to expand upon services that had been offered through the Henry County Juvenile court’s Youth and Juvenile Offenders Programs such that youth and adults, including those who have not gotten into trouble with the courts but whose family members consider them “at-risk” can all benefit. What truly sets Life Management Solutions’ program apart from others out there is how the parents are required to participate with the youths. Using proactive and interactive methods, Life Management Solutions helps individuals identify the root causes of their negative behaviors and rid themselves of emotional contamination that, in turn, helps to bridge relationships, restore marriages, improve communication and decision-making skills among family members and individuals, and promote healthy lifestyles. The overall result is not to enhance participants’ abilities to make positive choices and become productive citizens in the community, but also improve the quality of life for all citizens in the community by reducing crime and other negative behaviors. Objectives also include decreasing the number of repeat offenders and deterring youth from entering the juvenile courts in the first place, which reduces caseloads in the Courts and saves the taxpayers money. While priority is given to court-ordered participants, services are available to the entire community.
