James Driver All-Inclusive Park is a 29-acre park located in northeast Houston along Highway 59. Our vision is to create an all-inclusive outdoor space children and adults of all abilities can enjoy. Located in an underserved part of Harris County, the park is undergoing a massive expansion to revitalize the surrounding community and serve as a premier destination for visitors. Our belief is parks should be for everybody regardless of limitations and challenges. The expansion will be the first of its kind in the region and a great attraction for East Aldine community. Some of the park design’s all-accessible amenities include walking and exercise trails, play and fitness equipment, sensory gardens, water play, an expansive playground, and a beep softball field. The park includes a pavilion, greenspace with native species, and environmentally friendly design features. The park has been awarded over $2 million in grant awards towards construction and scheduled for completion in July. The park will provide extensive physical, sensory and social experiences to all ages and abilities that families living locally, across town or in another state will want to visit. We will track participation through park and league registrations, special events and the community center’s program participation.
