Miami-Dade Countyâs Information Technology Department (ITD) provides a broad array of IT services as the largest municipal technology provider for County departments, government agencies and municipal partners. ITD services range from wireless, telephony, radio, network and infrastructure to large scale application development and support. In an era of digital transformation in government, a Business Relationship Management (BRM) team was created to help change the way IT does business. As change agents within the IT organization, internal processes were reviewed to ensure more collaboration and transparency within. As such, the Shared Services division of the IT department embarked on agile implementation of digital IT budget planning for customer revenue. With the implementation of the application, IT managers are able to take more ownership and have access to data for all of the departmentâs lines of business. The BRM team are able to work with managers to ensure customers understand what they are being charged for. Ultimately, by removing silos and opening up the conversation, the IT department has been able to better invest resources to innovate and automate processes making the planning and reporting of customer revenue a much simpler and standardized exercise.
