The Industrial Park Bypass project consists of improving county roads in Butler County and connecting the resulting new roadway to Highway 67 at the Route M interchange, south of town. This project allows easy access in and out of the Industrial Park and drastically reduces the number of large freight carriers through the downtown and residential areas of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Project Benefits: 1. Safety of 3,500+ people employed in the Industrial Park. 2. Increased traffic efficiency in and out of the Industrial Park. 3. Reduced noise, pollution and maintenance costs in downtown Poplar Bluff, Mo. 4. Keep current manufacturers from moving their plants (and jobs) abroad. This project is currently under construction and will be finished later this year. Butler County has played the lead role in this project. Collaboration with the Chamber, the City, municipal utilities, Ozark Border, local land owners, the Delta Regional Authority, the Missouri Department of Economic Development, the State of Missouri and the Federal Government has been KEY to the success of this project.
