The clerk’s office put board of commissioners meeting minutes and resolutions from 1924 to the present onto the Web for anyone to view and search, which increased accessibility and preserves valuable records. A simple text search allows one to locate any resolution that was passed or any change that took place in the County, no matter how big or small, or what year it was from. This not only saves time for the clerk’s employees that would normally have to manually handle requests for information and search for old books of records, but provides access to this pertinent historical information to anyone with access to the Internet. These records are now preserved and saved in a digital format so that if the books were somehow damaged or destroyed, the records would still exist.
