The Fulton County Global Youth Leadership Program promotes global diplomacy, civil and civic responsibility, and international collaborations through study, travel, language and international community involvement. Their approach engages students in projects and ongoing initiatives that work hand-in-hand with their high school curriculums. The overall goal of this program is to develop Fulton Countyâs young leaders into international leaders and global competitors through exposure to global diplomacy, civil and civic engagement, and the promotion of the importance of international collaborations. This program begins the dialogue between their youth leaders and the international community with a pen-pal program that involves over 400 fifth-grade students engaging in transatlantic communication via mail and email. In an effort to publicize the images of each country, yearly publications are advertised to the Fulton County community in the form of either a travel exhibit or a photo journal published in the countyâs library. Lastly, the leadership curriculum is capped off with a two-week exchange program that introduces international visitors to Fulton County and its youngest residents.
