Family Funday Sunday is an all-inclusive program developed at the Northwest Regional Library in Surprise, Arizona to provide a fun and engaging opportunity for families to come together in the library. Held on the third Sunday of every month, families come to the library, enjoy various activities and games, and engage with their community. Stemming from an idea by a staff member, Family Funday Sunday was developed to fill the community’s need for an all-ages family-centered customer engagement program. The program continues to attract an increasing number of attendees leading up to the biggest event of the year, the Family Funday Sunday’s Fall Carnival. Family Funday Sunday has spurred the development and enhancement of family-centered programming in an increasingly diverse suburban area of Maricopa County.
