The County of Los Angeles Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services (WDACS) Area Agency on Aging (AAA) administers the Elderly Nutrition Program which provides meals to Older Adults residing within the boundaries of Los Angeles County. These services are provided through congregate and home delivered meal providers. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and the overwhelming demand for home delivered meals for older adults, AAA launchedexpanded nutrition assistance services that included private and public partnerships to increase capacity and meet the overwhelming demand. The services included only home delivered meals for older adults while practicing “stay at home” orders.
