Thanks to legislative efforts by the Collin County Clerk, all county clerk offices throughout the state of Texas may now post legal and public notices electronically. Before this change in the law, county clerk offices were required to physically post paper copies of all county legal and public notices at their county courthouses. This change in the law allowing Electronic Public Information (EPI) is now creating significant cost savings in each county’s staff time and supplies, making the legal notices posting process environmentally responsible by eliminating the need to print thousands of pages of paper documents, and providing greater convenience and accessibility to the public.
